Spouses of members of the Gyro Club of Sherwood Park (Gyrettes) are welcome to join us for our monthly meetings, usually held on the last Wednesday of the month, for fun and fellowship.
Each monthly meeting is organized by 2 or 3 of the Gyrettes and can be anything from a movie night to a sit down dinner in a restaurant. Each month is arranged by a different group and anything goes.
For several years we have assembled adult and teen gift baskets for the Strathcona Christmas Bureau.
In the spring and the fall we organize a function called “Guess who’s coming to “Nibble” where the host couple supplies coffee and dessert and 2 or 3 unknown couples arrive bearing appetizers and the beverage of their choice.
Our meetings are really just about friendship and support. We are there for each other, form lasting friendships and welcome everyone regardless of whether they join us every month or just occasionally.
